A dropshipper is a person or business that sells products without ever holding them in inventory. Instead, when a customer places an order, the dropshipper purchases the product from a third-party supplier and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the dropshipper never sees or handles the product.
There are three parties involved in the dropshipping business model:
